Verlinvest is proud of having a global team of ~50 colleagues, with about 25 colleagues in the Brussels Head office. The firm is looking for a Head of Marketing & Comms that will be based in Brussels.
Verlinvest is looking for a seasoned marketing and communications leader who embodies a blend of strategic vision, creativity, and hands-on execution.
Your challenge
Shape and Implement Strategy: Lead the development and execution of Verlinvest’s marketing and communications strategy, enhancing our brand and global reputation. You will roll it out on a global scale (Europe, US, India) together with a motivated and international team.
Drive Engagement: Manage Verlinvest’s online presence across our website, social media, and other digital channels to boost audience engagement and brand awareness. You will help positioning Verlinvest as the go-to private equity partner for CEO and founders.
Manage Communications: Oversee all corporate and portfolio announcements, ensuring consistent and impactful messaging.
Events: Design and execute high-profile events, including dinners, networking sessions, portfolio summits, and webinars, to connect and inspire Verlinvest’s community.
Collaborate Across Teams: Work closely with internal teams and external PR/media partners to plan and deliver comprehensive marketing initiatives. You will be reporting to the CEO.
Support Portfolio Companies: Build strong relationships with the marketing and communications teams of our portfolio companies, providing strategic support as needed.
PR: Engage with traditional media and relevant institutions to retain, protect and enhance Verlinvest’s profile as, when and where relevant.
Support the team: Your primary focus will be centerer on Growth and PE investing, with opportunities to assist our venture teams exposed to earlier-stage investments.
Enhance Internal Communications: Lead internal communications initiatives, including our monthly newsletter, to ensure cohesive and effective internal messaging.
Get your passport ready for exciting professional adventures, with up to 20% of your time traveling for global initiatives (Europe, U.S. and Asia).
The ideal profile
We are looking for a seasoned marketing and communications leader who embodies a blend of strategic vision, creativity, and hands-on execution. The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications and attributes:
Education: Master’s degree in Communications, Marketing, Finance, or a related field.
Technical Skills: Expertise in web content management, digital media strategies, and interpreting online engagement metrics.·
Communication: Excellent copywriting, editing, and research skills with a keen eye for detail.
Experience: Minimum of 5 years in Marketing, Communications, or PR on an international scale. Experience in private equity or investment environment is a plus. Experience in Comm/Marketing agency is also a plus.
Language Skills: Native or near-native English with exceptional verbal and written communication skills. Additional languages are a plus.·
Stress Management: Resilient and detail-oriented under pressure.
Global Perspective: Experience with diverse markets and cultural nuances.
Flexibility: Willing to travel up to 20% of the time for global initiatives (Europe, U.S. and Asia).
Mindset: Entrepreneurial and proactive with the ability to manage multiple tasks independently in a fast-paced environment.
Interpersonal Skills: Strong relationship-building abilities with colleagues, executives, and media professionals.·
